Francesca Carella Arfinengo is an artist who works in textiles, text, photography and socially engaged modalities. Her work is rooted in her lived experience as a first -generation immigrant. Themes in her work include late-capitalism discontent, grief, agency and interdependence of species.
She is a member of the Miradorx Art Collective (previously called Mujer Artista group) and a resident artist at the Misericordia Health Centre.
Francesca grew up in Arequipa, Peru and identifies as a settler of mixed ancestry. She is grateful to live and work in Treaty 1 territory.
